The unusual interest (Ana)

[Kurosaki Ichigo]

Ichigo saw how the arrancar handled Ana, had they treated her like that throughout the time she had been here?
Ichigo scowled more after hearing the arrancar tell Ana that this place was her home now, where had he heard that before.
He could hear Keyori snapping at the arrancar and by what she was saying she seemed to not care if Ulquiorra found out of her betrayal. Ichigo looked to the arrancar holding his grip on Ana, he didnt know how to go about getting her free if he just swung at the arrancar there'd be a chance he'd catch Ana too, that wouldnt be good, he could just punch the hell out of the arrancar. But Ichigo's attention was distracted by Rukia as she had returned, well he wasnt sure if she had run off with Ishida or not. ''Hey! im not reckless! i have to do something im not running away like that idiot!'' he snapped glancing over to see Ishida still running for his life up in the distance. Ichigo however hadnt heard Rukia tell him to move and she went ahead and used her zanpakuto's abilities to send the ice into some arrancars behind him, which he hadnt really noticed. But she had caught him to, she had encased his arm in ice along with the arrancars. Ichigo looked to his side seeing his hand that gripped his zanpakuto was frozen. He sharply looked to Rukia glaring at her. ''RUKIA!!'' he yelled ay her. ''Are you blind!? do i look like an enemy to you?'' he continued and then wondered how he could get his arm out of the ice. He gave a sigh before attempting to move his hand or move his fingers but nothing happened. Ichigo looked to Ishida seeing he had decided to join them ''Dont you say a word Ishida!'' he said to him before Ishida had the chance to say something to him about it.
''Geez! Rukia...'' he grumbled before smacking the ice with his fist a couple of times cracking it some before lifting his arm out of the ice as it shattered.
Ichigo moved his zanpakuto into his other hand while he flexed his other one that had been in ice, it was freezing, numb even.
Ichigo then looked over to Ana seeing she had made an escape but Keyori's voice entered his hearing again, that name again seemed to haunt him. He grinded his teeth together looking to Keyori ''Call me that again and ill leave you with that arrancar!'' he said to her. But the arrancar who had once caught Ana was now fighting back, Ichigo see his strange looking fist that went to attack Ana. Ichigo got ready to help her but hoped she had seen it and would stop it.

Ana scrambled back onto her feet after falling over from kicking the arrancar back. She then noticed the ones in front of her turn to ice and she blinked looking over her shoulder to see where it had come from. She smiled seeing Rukia "Thanks Rukia." Ana said and dusted off herself a little.

She was about to run over to Rukia but was stopped when the arrancar she had kicked off her got back up and started yelling. Ana frowned "Then you'll have to kill me because I am Never staying here." she said and of course the arrancar said killing her was a good idea. Yea she'd love to see how Ulquiorra kiled this arrancar then.

She took a step backwards no way was she going to die, she had been escaping it for who knew how long now but this was not going to be the hour of ther death. What she had not been expecting was the sudden large fist coming in her direction. Her eyes went wide and she quickly raised her arms forming a shield around herself. It was not her best though and could you blaim her in her state.

The fist impacted the shield and she cringed before she knelt down a little, her shield cracked under the pressure and the fist came right for her. She didn't have time to dodge it, shield down. She started to twist her own body as she went towards the ground. The fist just nicked the side of her chin but that was enough to send her straight to the ground, dust flying up from the fast impact. She staid down for a few moments, her lip bleeding but after several long long seconds she moved a little. "You'll pay for that..." she mumbled.

Keyori smirked seeing the shinigans going on, and Ishida had returned ''You traitor!!! betrayer!! untrustworthy!! you left us! see see Strawberry...im more loyal to you than geeky pants over there...'' she said but then she frowned ''Slip of the tongue'' she shrugged at Ichigo.
Keyori then looked to Rukia seeing the ice blanket she had create had done the trick and caught Ichigo up. She smirked alot seeing him raging at Rukia and arguing like some old married couple, that was funny to watch. She see Ichigo break free from the ice and giggled almost.
But she looked to Ana seeing the giant bone like fist heading towards her, she had put up a shield of some kind it made Keyori smile. ''Thats it Ana-Chan!!! kick his butt!'' she yelled but she was soon in trouble as her shield didnt hold up well agasint the arrancar, and she was nicked on the chin but it had still sent her to the floor. ''Ana!!'' she yelled out and tried to wriggle free fro,m the arrancar that was gripping her. ''Leave me alone'' she hissed at him ''You'll regret it!'' she said.
The arrncar by Ana laughed at her as she sat there on the floor ''Down so soon girl?'' he said and raised his fist again making sure he'd get a direct head on hit and in one slam of his fist crush her completely, his fist was wide enough to but the arrancar was getting on over himself and from nowhere a huge spirirtual energy arrived it was so huge it sent the arrancar to his knees before Ulquiorra flased behind him and sent his fist into its stomatch and all the way through the other side.
''Fool...'' Ulquiorra muttered as he watched the arrancar fall to the ground once he had yanked his hand back. Ulquiorra looked to his blood soken hand and made a cold and callious look before sighing and closing his eyes breifly. Ulquiorra's eyes re opened to look at Ana sitting there ''Cant you keep yourself alive for a few moments...'' he said. ''And no'' he added with a frown. ''Im not doing it in spite of protecting you....i would do nothing as stupid as that...as much as i'd love to kill you...im not allowed to by Aizen-Sama's word'' he said. He then leaned forwards and grabbed Ana by her arm pulling her up to her feet not in the most gentle of way at all. He then paused, a feeling hit him and his eyes widened. ''Kurosaki'' he said questionably and turned his head to look at Ichigo. The very sight of him was making Ulquiorra feel anger, but Ulquiorra was a calm person, even though he felt anger his body and mind said otherwise. ''You've become a thorn in my side boy...well....it look like you have no choice but to fight me...im not letting you escape here alive...i dont care about what happens to anyone elses...your friends can go for all i care...my business is with you...until your dead...for real this time, then i will hunt you down....i will always be looking over your shoulder seeking you out until blood had been spilt...'' he said. ''Would you like this quick...or complicated?'' he said and shoved Ana forwards ''I know you need a reason to fight me...your like that...you dont kill because you want to...like me or the espadas right?...you kill becasue you have to win...'' he said. ''If you refuse to fight me...then i fear for your friends lives'' he said in his evil and twisted way.
His piercing green eyes looked to Ichigo waiting to see what he'd make of it, he knew Ichigo perhaps wouldnt fight him so willingly, and probably hesitate before realising he had no other options, and that was where Ulquiorra was clever, by giving Ichigo a reason to fight he would have already gotten him into a chain of events that he was directing Ichigo to do. Ulquiorra then smirked, he wpuld pinpoint the moment when Ichigo may of thought about Orihime. ''Oh...you still think your woman can heal you up....you just think as long as shes by your side she can help you live...fraid not...i dont take my chances....and correct me if im wrong but...if something happens to that girl wont that be breaking your promises...'' he grinned, just like digging the knife and twisting it really to provoke Ichigo.
But Ulquiorra had to be careful, Ichigo had all his friends surrounding.

Orihime had come along with the others to bring Ana back home she had been glad to see Ana again. But things had turned for the worse when arrancar had shown up, she moved her hand up to her hairpins ready to attack any that came near her. But Ana had been caught so had Keyori an arrancar who said she had helped Ana.
But it was Rukia that saved the day in the end, she smiled to Rukia and frowned to Ishida he had run away, but she knew not in the way that would make it seem as though he was a coward but in a thoughtful use of energy for bigger fights on the way. It seemed sensible, but still his friends needed him.
Orihime see Ana had been caught by the arrancar huge fist and she was knocked down, she wanted to put up one of her shild over Ana after her one had cracked. But suddenly she felt cold, she shivered a little before her eyes noticed Ulquiorra. She couldnt look at him she looked to the floor not knowing what to do or say. But she had looked up once he pulled Ana to her feet in the most rough way, he never treated a woman with respect at all. Even if she was an enemy he still could of been a little more considerate, but that was expecting too much from someone like Ulquiorra. She didnt like the atmosphere created, she didnt want Ulquiorra to see Ichigo, he might of made an instant attack and with Ulquiorra's it could easily send everyone flying. At the sound of Ulquiorra saying Ichigo's last name she cringed.
By Ulquiorra next words Ichigo should kill him, no he absolutly had to kill him, he was never going to let it go, he was never going to let Ichigo live, she knew what Ulquiorra was like.
She glanced to Ana again wondering why Ana was dragged into Ulquiorra and Ichigo's mess, she needed a break she was probably tired and restless after being in this place and everything. She leaned in to Rukia whispering ''Kuchiki-San, can you do something?...anything to help Ana-Chan?''
But Ulquiorra's continuation and last comment made her pause she looked to him and then to Ichigo Ulquiorra's last line ''if something happens to that girl wont that be breaking your promises'' what did that mean? she didnt understand, of course she would heal Ichigo when his injuries became heavy or lifethreatening, she was his friend she'd do the same for any of her friends, but saying 'if something happens to that girl' made her think some more ,waht was he going to do seperate her from Ichigo? or perhaps eliminate her completely and kill her! ''No!..'' she gasped taking some steps backwards.

Rukia smiled at Ana ''Thats fine...'' she said and then looked to Ichigo, he didnt look happy see looked to his arm and smirked. ''Umm...oh oppsie...'' she said ''Accident it was an accident...and i told you to move'' she said.
Once Ichigo was free from the ice she looked to Ana and the beastly arrancar was making another attack, this time with a huge looking fist she readyed her zanpakuto but Ana was already down. She looked to Ichigo seeing he was ready aswell to help. She gave a small nod to him they would tackle this guy but then before anything Ulquiorra appeared and killed the arrancar in the blink of an eye. ''Him...'' she said to herself but glanced to Orihime as she whispered something in her ear. She smiled to Orihime, that was just like her, worrying about everyone's safety. She nodded ''Dont worry...she'll be ok'' she whispered back and then looked back at the scene thinking on how she could help, there wasnt much she could do, this was Ulquiorra he'd have her head in seconds, he was a frightening man, if she used an ice barrier on him there was a chance she'd get Ana, and even if she did just freeze Ulquiorra he'd break out of it like it was air. She looked to Ichigo as Ulquiorra seemed to have business with him, what had Ichigo done for him to act like that. He had only saved his friends pretty much they all had done, but why did he purposely single Ichigo out. Rukia wasnt liking any of this either, in truth Ichigo may well put up a good fight agasint him, but would he tire, how long could he keep up. Rukia didnt want to fight this guy, and neither didnt Orihime seeing it, perhaps Ishida would offer some help to Ichigo or Ana, but Ishida wasnt the best of friends with Ichigo, and Ana was non stop she needed to rest somehow Rukia began to think, they couldnt just leave it to Ichigo could they, as much as she wanted to help him, she may become a burden he would be thinking about his friends and not concentrating on his enemy in front. She sighed ''Ichigo...'' she said glancing to him. ''We've got your back...'' she said to reasure him that they wouldnt just leave him.
Ulquiorra then said something about Orihime, was he threatening to kill her! ''You...you cant!'' she said not sounding very convincing really. ''Stay behind me Inoue'' she said to her. ''Ishida your job is to guard Inoue...her life is valued..'' she said to him. If they lost Orihime to the battle then not only would it mean everyone else could die easily, but they would be losing one of their dearest friends.

Ishida hit one arrancar with a arrow he had sent flying at it, he then turned his bow to face the arrancar with Ana, luckily her attempts succeded to get away.
He looked over to Ichigo a smirk plastered on his face. ''I was merely going to comment that you should had moved...and that you never cease to disappoint me..'' he sighed glad that he had commented on it even though Ichigo told him not to.
Ishida's eye was caught by the large bone like fist from the arrancar ''Hold it there!'' Ishida said seeing it aim for her and catch her too, ''Ana-San!'' he called to her and lowered his bow but there was this cold sensation, what was this it was as if death itself had arrived it felt like something was hanging over you like a dark cloud, it was Ulquiorra.
He looked even more threatening than he could of imgined, he meant business and he wasnt messing around as he instantly used Ana as bait to draw Ichigo into his mind games, once he had Ichigo hooked he'd have little chance of escaping it. Ulquiorra and Ichigo seemed to be huge huge enemies, and was soon to be a clash of monsters, he was in a way confident that Ichigo could put up a good fight but then again he hadnt really seen Ulquiorra all out fighting till the death. It seemed like someone was bound to die, and brutally, he had a feeling that this would be a blood bath of a fight he wasnt even sure if he'd withstand this. But then again Orihime was here, thank god she had come along her god like healing abilities went againt nature but they were a heck of alot of use for the group, Orihime's power was greatly valued and now Ulquiorra was threatening to take that away. Ishida looked to Rukia and nodded in agreement ''Yes...of course'' he said then looked to Ichigo. ''Kurosaki! its clear that you have no other choice but to fight to the death...before the worst happens...dont worry about Inoue-San...we'll look after her...and help you where we can'' he said hoping to let Ichigo's worries be at ease, Ishida knew that if Orihime's life was in danger then Ichigo would up his game force himself through the worst of injuries, perhaps Orihime could be the key to unlock something amazing from him, but it was risky to dangle Orihime in front of Ulquiorra and let him have an open shot at her just for Ichigo to awaken some more power.
Ishida then looked to Ana she must of been through enough and yet she was still seen as a way to dig the knife in Ichigo, poor Ana. He deiced to get her out of the clutches of Ulquiorra but how. ''...Ulquiorra..'' he said stepping forwards and in between the two rivals. ''Kurosaki knows he has to fight you...so why bring his friends into this...Ana is not someone to be used to get to Kurosaki....or Inoue-San for that matter....hand Ana-San over to me...and we will get out of your way and leave you to battle....you said that you dont care what happens to any of us...so let us go...its Kurosaki you want not us...we shouldnt be punished...let us escape'' he said and he knew it sounded bad, like he was saying ''Your free to kill Ichigo while we get the heck out of here'' it didnt sound like he was a friend of Ichigo's so far, and Ichigo proabably wouldnt be happy with what he said. He glanced over his shoulder to Ichigo giving him a wink ''They want you...your the one they wanna take over...dont be selfish Kurosaki...surely one life isnt worth 5 or 6 lives...'' he said then looked to Ana and held hsi hand out to her ''Come on Ana...we need you to make us a portal to get out of here...'' he said.

Ichigo stayed back after seeing Ana escape the arrancar, but he had become more on edge after Ana was down, he was already running towards her like he normally would do. He couldnt understand why no one else was running to Ana to help her. ''Come on! what the hell are you standing around for!'' Ichigo called back to everyone as he looked over his shoulder still running towards Ana. But the sudden rise in spirit pressure made Ichigo stop, he looked in front of him again, nothing happened for a moment but then something or someone killed the arrancar about to attack Ana. Ichigo took a more defensive stance keeping his guard up watching what was going on, but then he saw him, Ulquiorra. Ichigo suddenly felt sick with worry, he was scared of Ulquiorra but only because of what had happened before he was killed once, he could easily do it again. But this was Ichigo, he wasnt scared of anything usually so any fear he had was instantly pushed out of his mind, he didnt have time to be scared. At least Ana had been saved from that arrancar but according to Ulquiorra he didnt want it seen as protection. Aizen still wanted her alive, that wasnt good because that meant Aizen had something planned for Ana.

Ichigo fixed a glare on Ulquiorra as he spoke to him about being a pain and how he had to fight him, he didnt have to do anything Ulquiorra asked of him he just killed him and kidnapped one of his friends there was no way Ichigo was going to be co operative. ''That would be a no jackass...as much as i'd wanna kill you i dont have time...'' he snapped. Ichigo fell silent however Ulquiorra went on to say that he would always be there and wouldnt stop unless he was killed. Ichigo looked stunned ''What?...'' he said, Ulquiorra was never going to leave him alone he wasnt going to stop until he was dead ''Shut the hell up!!'' Ichigo snapped again after Ulquiorra continued.

Then he told Ichigo if he wanted things quick or complicated and brought Ana forwards, Ichigo knew what was coming next. He looked to the ground an annoyed expression on his face he was sick of his friends being used agaisnt him. He had to decided if he was in a good enough position to have an all out fight with Ulquiorra, probably not, he hadnt done any trainning in advanced to prepare for something like this he had his hollow under control to some extent now, so that would help him some but Ulquiorra was destructive he'd tear this place up in seconds. Ichigo had already had a thought about Inoue, and her valued healing, and he had decided to battle Ulquiorra to the death but just as he was about to agree Ulquiorra made another dig, about Inoue. Ichigo turned nasty ''You bastard!! if you touch her i definatly will kill you!!'' he yelled just about stopping himself going for Ulquiorra.

Ichigo suddenly heard Rukia he glanced to her as she said she had his back, as if reassuring him. He looked to Inoue seeing her realization that Ulquiorra planned on killing her too, but Ishida and Rukia were protecting her thankfully, he knew if he tried to Ulquiorra would get in his way and deleberatly stop him from helping her. Then Ishida jumped in between him and Ulquiorra saying how he couldnt refuse and that they should all get out of here leaving Ichigo to deal with Ulquiorra ''Thanks Ishida...'' he said boredly, he really knew how to make friends.''Alright...you want a fight...you got one'' he said to Ulquiorra waiting for Ana to go off with Ishida, hopefully the very bad and not so covered up winking from him did actually mean he was only playing about and just saying what he had to get Ana out of Ulquiorra's clutches, but would he fall for it? he doubted that. Ishida was an idiot Ulquiorra would spot this easily and it would make him even more angered meaning Ichigo will be the one being the rebound of all this anger. ''Thanks again Ishida'' he thought then readied himself.

[Shoshi Ana]

Ana sat up and looked to the arrancar, she started to crawl backwards when he went to go again and then before she knew it he was down and dead. Ana blinked and then looked up seeing Ulquiorra and heard him talking about staying alive for a few minutes. Ana frowned “Why would I give you that satisfaction when I know you want to turn me…” she said and Ulquiorra assured her that he was not protecting her, Aizen wanted her alive. She frowned, she had heard enough of this Aizen person. Then Ana was yanked to her feet and she yelled at Ulquiorra “Ass!” she snapped punching him in the arm. She hated Ulquiorra so much!

Of course Ulquiorra went on talking and pushed Ana forward to get to Ichigo and on his nerve and then he went on, Ana looked to Ulquiorra “Shut up sly bag!” she snapped at him when he threatened Orihime’s life. Rukia was holding Orihime back, that was good she looked to Rukia “Rukia you keep her safe.” She said and then stood on Ulquiorra’s foot for being so mean and for ripping her to her feet.

Ulquiorra however kept talking and talking and if Ana was able to hurt him she would have but like anything she would do would hurt him. She glanced to him and then Ichigo and then Ishida suddenly stood between Ulquiorra and Ichigo, what was he doing? She watched him and listened, oh no no no, this was not good what was he trying to do.

Ana looked to Ichigo “NO!” she yelled when he agreed to fight and then turned to face Ulquiorra “You either fight him or you take me… you don’t get both, not today.” She said growling and punched him in the arm knowing that wouldn’t do anything. Ana then looked over to Ichigo and Ishida, Ishida holding his hand out to Ana and Ichigo thanking Ishida. She seemed puzzled for a moment and then looked to Ichigo she did not like this, but she wasn’t going to let Orihime die.

Ana nodded and looked Ishida. “Get Orihime out of here alive.” She mouthed to him and then looked to his hand. Ok she would take it and see if Ulquiorra would let her go or not, but she didn’t want Ichigo to fight. She glanced to Keyori worried and then took Ishida’s hand waiting to see what was going to happen.
