Brief Appearance :: One of the first things one notices about Rukia is that she's very short and petite. In fact, she's only 4'8 1/2'' in height and weighs a slender 73 lbs, making finding clothing for herself difficult. She hates being made fun of her for her height (or lack thereof) and it is for this reason that she often has to borrow clothes from Ichigo's sisters when she stays with him.
Rukia has dark black hair that has recently been cut so it falls just short of touching her shoulders. Strands of her hair always seem to fall between her eyes no matter what she does to comb it out however, and this has remained true for almost her entire life. Rukia has deep violet eyes that appear to be an indigo or bluish color at times when they hit the light, and pale, fair skin. She has delicate, soft facial features and a slender, if not curvy, body type.
Rukia wears a traditional Shinigami uniform for the most part, however hers is a bit shorter at the sleeves than some, just reaching her upper arm. She wears the Division 13 Badge around the left arm of her uniform as a symbol of her position as lieutenant there as well. Finally, Rukia now wears white fingerless tekkou gloves that extend above her elbows, similar to those that her adopted brother, Byakuya, wears.
Brief Personality :: Although Rukia was somewhat brutally ripped from her childhood and typical life in Hanging Dog to the posh life of nobility, her personality hasn't changed much. She never talks down to anyone because of who she is or her ranking in society, and she treats everyone the same way she always has. Rukia's still as quiet and somewhat kept to herself as always, but she's still the kind girl that she used to be when hanging out with Renji.
For the most part Rukia is a kind spirit, but she can be aggressive and blunt, particularly when it comes to a certain Ichigo Kurosaki, whom she seems to have no patience for. She won't hesitate to kick Ichigo in the face or yell at him if he's doing something stupid, and she certainly keeps him from acting like too much of an idiot because of it. Rukia does have a good head on her shoulders, and is very down-to-earth in most situations though, something Ichigo can lack at times in comparison.
Rukia can have a bit of a closed heart to others though, as her Captain has pointed out on occasion. Rukia can have trouble opening up to others because she's been hurt and has suffered through tragedy before. However once she becomes your friend she'll stick by you for life, and remains a loyal companion. She'll stick her neck out or risk her life for any of her close friends, and although she may seem small and insignificant, she's a tough fighter and can put up one hell of a fight to anyone who opposes her.

Zanpakutou-'Soul Slayer'(name and ability) ::
"Dance, Sode no Shirayuki." (袖白雪, Sleeved White Snow)
When releasing Sode no Shirayuki, Rukia unsheathes her Zanpakuto and turns it in a counterclockwise fashion. As it turns in a circle the entire sword turns a pure white, and a long, graceful white ribbon blossoms from the hilt, floating around the blade in a circle-like shape. A blast of cold, chill air is sent forward upon its release as well. It is a long and powerful katana, and is considered to be one of the most beautiful blades in the Soul Society by many. Sode no Shirayuki is generally known as an ice-type Zanpakuto in nature, and it can freeze most objects just by touching or being near them, or create ice pathways for Rukia to use as she sees fit. However, Sode no Shirayuki possesses many other abilities that Rukia utilizes on a daily basis, known as "dances".
"Some no mai, Tsukishiro!" (初の舞・月白, First Dance, White Moon)
The first of Sode no Shirayuki's dances. Rukia calls out the name of the technique, causing Sode no Shirayuki to glow a bright white hue. Rukia executes one quick horizontal slice in the air, drawing a circle with her blade tip that dictates where the technique will then take place. Upon leaping away, the place where she drew the circle will glow with a white light and then explode in a massive column of ice. The column will extend skyward, freezing everything in the ground and in the air.
"Tsugi no mai, Hakuren!"(次の舞・白漣, Next Dance, White Ripple)
Rukia calls out the name of this dance and then faces Sode no Shirayuki downwards, puncturing the ground before her four times in a semi-circle. The marks where the blade pierces the ground will glow a white color, and as she takes a fighting stance, raising Sode no Shirayuki and directing it towards the opponent, the white snow-like flecks will flow from the marks into the blade. The energy will then be released, sending a flash-freezing snow storm toward the opponent. Anything and everything in its path will be frozen solid.
"Sen no mai, Shirafune!" (参の舞・白刀, Third Dance, White Sword)
Generally Rukia only uses this technique if Sode no Shirayuki is broken for one reason or another. By gathering water into the tip of her sword, Rukia is able to create a blade made of ice. She can alter the sword's length in this way to her will, and after piercing a target it will freeze the target itself and some objects around it.
"Juhaku!" (樹白, White Tree)
Rukia stabs the ground with Sode no Shirayuki, causing a trail of ice to head towards the target. The ice will then creep up the target from the base up, freezing anything in its path.
Small Bio :: Rukia, about 150 years ago, was abandoned as a small child by her older sister, Hisana, in the streets of Rukongai, defenseless. Rukia grew up on her own for the most part, but eventually she met one boy who would be her friend for many long years. His name was Renji Abarai, and together the two of them and their friends were able to survive despite the hardships of living in the slums.
Due to their immense spiritual energy in comparison to many others in the 78th District, the two decided to become Soul Reapers. They both passed the entrance exam, however Rukia was not placed in the advanced class as Renji was. Their lives continued as normal while at the Academy, with the exception that they were treated poorly as lesser citizens by the nobility there. Rukia did well in her classes, excelling particularly in Kido, which she still considers to be her strong suit.
But, it was not meant to be. One typical day at school, Rukia was approached by a group of high-ranking nobles, requesting a private meeting with her. Not only that, but one of them was the leader of the well-known Kuchiki family, Byakuya Kuchiki. Rukia was then told that Byakuya wanted to adopt her into the Kuchiki Family. Rukia realized that refusing the offer was not an option, and she accepted. As such, she became an official member of the Kuchiki Family and graduated from Shino Academy immediately, being placed in Squad 13. She was unseated due to Byakuya's desire to keep her out of harm's way. Rukia trained mostly under lieutenant Kaien Shiba, whom she grew close to as a friend and comrade. He helped her develop her Shikai, and in a tragic twist of fate she was forced to kill him.
Regardless of her Brother's constant watch, she was sent to Karakura Town to keep tabs on Hollow population, during which time she met Ichigo Kurosaki. It was then that Rukia made Ichigo a Soul Reaper, probably one of the greatest and most powerful decisions she ever made. And, as it turned out, Rukia was put in prison and sentenced to death by the Soul Society because of it. Ichigo, highly-strung and foolish as ever, came to the Soul Society to rescue her. Through a chain of fights and other events he eventually rescued Rukia, and Aizen escaped the Soul Society in the process. Rukia also learned about the real reason Byakuya adopted her as a member of the Kuchiki family, and what really happened to her sister after she abandoned Rukia.
Rukia has since stood beside Ichigo as a friend and fellow warrior in almost all of his endeavors. She came to Karakura Town in an advance team to help Ichigo fight against the Arrancars and also travelled with Ichigo to Hueco Mundo to resuce Orihime. She's reclaimed her Shikai and all of her previous Shinigami abilities since being stripped of them when giving her power to Ichigo, and has proved herself to be a valuable ally to Ichigo. She also slayed Espada #9 during her visit to Hueco Mundo through her skills and abilities.
When Ichigo lost his powers, Rukia didn't return to Karakura Town for 2 long years. Until, of course, when she returned to give Ichigo his powers back. In this way his powers were able to manifest in a new form, and once again Rukia had unlocked Ichigo's true potential... as a Soul Reaper.
A Small Example of Rping as Character ::
"RENJI!"
A red, flaming blast that was supposed to be a controlled Shakkaho Spell exploded in the courtyard, engulfing most of the grass in flames. As the smoke cleared Rukia approached Renji, violet eyes flaring as she kicked him to his feet. With a soft grunt of annoyance Renji stumbled onto two feet again, towering over Rukia's petite figure with ease.
"What the hell was that? You could've killed us! You need to focus and concentrate more when performing Kido!"
Renji let out a labored sigh, scratching the back of his head nervously. Rukia couldn't believe him! How could someone so skilled as Renji be so lacking when it came to Kido? For Rukia it had always come so naturally, always been so easy for her. For her, being unable to perform Kido was like being unable to speak, both impossible and unthinkable.
"Ok, one more time then!" Renji said, confidence creeping into his voice.
Rukia restrained herself from smacking him across the face. "Quit being so cocky, Renji! You need to relax and let go! Focus on the words rather than the big explosions!"
Renji nodded and Rukia took a few long steps back, not wanting to be lit aflame if Renji's spell backfired again. Nii-sama would be mad enough to find out that so much of his courtyard had already been destroyed by Renji's incompetence, and Rukia prayed he wouldn't mess this up again, for her sake and his.
C'mon Renji you can do it!
"HADO #31, SHAKKAHO!" he roared.
Rukia swore under her breath as red flame burst uncontrollably from his open palm once more, and she quickly leaped away to avoid being burned to a crisp. Instead of running up to him and chastising him this time though she simply raised her hand, facing Renji with a very unhappy gleam to her eyes now.
"HADO #33, SOKATSUI!" she yelled.
A powerful blast of blue flame erupted from her fingertips and shot towards Renji at high speed. He dodged it with enough ease, but a flustered look crossed his face as the bomb of blue flame hit the tree behind him.
"What the hell was that for Rukia?" he growled.
"Study carefully," Rukia replied curtly, another Kido Spell already on her tongue.
