PERSONALITY

Akio is a smart guy, he is always keeping himself busy with something or another and enjoys trying new things and fixing things because it keeps his mind focussed on something. Sadly Akio also has a very short attention span, he can become bored very easily and quickly and often gets frustrated with someone who doesn't engage on a intellectual level with him or keeps him on his toes.

He is not one to throw a tantrum more seeming emotionally distant from people and being over dramatic at times when presenting emotions especially when bored, which can make him seem childish and reckless at times. Normally Akio doesn't say much and when he does he is normally sarcastic or very serious.

Because of his lack of focus in a task he often wanders off to do something else which can make him seem airheaded though frankly he just gets very bored and very quickly.

INTERESTING FACTS

• While he lacks a sexual drive, being asexual his sister seems to have an over active sexual drive and is always chasing around men which often leaves him annoyed and embarrassed.

• He is actually the younger twin by ten minutes.

• While he stands at 6’1ft his sister is 5’3ft so people often assume she is his younger sister not older sister.

• He dislikes the Shinigami for what they did to his people but he has no desire to take revenge on them until one does wrong by him.

THE STORY SO FAR

Akio was born April 7th in Tokyo. He is the younger twin in his family and while his mother wanted more children, Akio and Sonya were more than enough for his father and as they got older they certainly became a handful for both their parents.

As a child Akio suffered asthma and night terrors, while he still suffers the asthma the night terrors he has grown out of, they were followed by night walking something he still does at times and often freaked his parents out and got him into trouble as they'd think he was awake and sneaking around to play computer games or something to that affect.

When he started school his teachers and his parents at home noticed his lack of attention span, while a bright child he could never focus on something he found 'boring' for very long and it was suggested he had ADHD however tests proved negative. To keep his mind eager and him focused his parents put him into sports, archery which his father taught him because of the Quincy way and he went into science and mathematic clubs not to mention he did gardening and as he got older started fixing and making things to keep himself occupied.

As he started to go into high school he noticed the lack of attention he payed to women, his sister often teased him thinking he was homosexual though he denied it all the time. After some research he discovered his own sexuality. While he found certain women to be attractive he was never sexually interested in anyone, hell he even hated holding hands at times something he has slowly grown out of. It made dating very difficult for him and being accepted in groups because he showed no interest in girls, he was often outcast from everyone.

It was during his high school years he also learnt more about his Quincy nature and how to develop and use his Quincy powers. Though his mother always pressed her children that school was more important than their Quincy duties, this often caused rifts in the family.

Recently though the family have moved to Karakura Town, his mother's job has lead them here and his father states something big is going down in the town and the Quincy are needed, it's their time or something like that. He doesn't know and doesn't really care, he's just pissed off he can't do his final year at school with his buddies and has to make new friends at a new school for his last year at high school.
