Rough night, even rougher morning

Night had set upon Karakura, and it wasnt exsactly peaceful either there were some yells and some rushed screams that echoed through the town. A young girl, about the age 15 or 16 was rushing through the town she wore black tights accompanied with a black sleeveless dress that ended at her knees and split up either side. The girl had long purple hair that she normally tied back but it was left down allowing it to dance in the wind. She also carried a large katana strapped to her back, it was encrusted with black and gold markings, it looked beautiful even.

''Back the hell away from me!!'' the girl insisted as she found she had come to a dead end. ''Damn'' she said to herself and then turned her body round to face nothing. Where were they? then she heard some small footsteps and the whisper of her name, Samia. Before she knew two of them men showed themselves and Samia raised her fists in a defensive way as if preparing to fight them. They circled her and she didnt know which way to look first, left or right, and like the sneaky buggers they were they grabbed her at the same time either side. Her arms were sized hold of and she was tossed to the ground her hair flying round as she fell. She lay there until something had pierceed her body, it sent electical currents she could feel all before she had lost conciousness.

That was it, the last of what she thought was of her, she was going to die here. Night had flown by and over time Samia's body had been out of it for sometime, her pulse was there though, faint but there. Blood had escaped from her mouth and onto the cold hard ground where she lay indicated she had internal bleeding. The sun started to rise up on Karakura some small light rays came shining through the clouds and lit up spots of the town until the cloud cleared and an orange haze of light spread all over the town, even in the early hours of the morning Samia was still lying there fighting for her life, not a clue what had just happened to her.

[Kurosaki Ichigo]

Ichigo had paid a very quick visit to Karakura, it was his hometown and yet he wasnt comfortable with staying round here anymore. He had been made to feel like a crimminal even what with all the trouble going on. Soul Society were on the look out for him only so they could make an arrest for a crime he had commited and Itsuki, some weird guy who didnt like to say who he was, was looking for him either for a fight or to 'help' him in some way though he refused to have help from him, he had his dad searching for him because he hadnt got in touch for a while with his family but it as why he was here in Karakura. After leaving town and hiding out in the old estate on the edge of Karakura, he had been pursuaded to come back but not for long he still had to keep a low profile.

He walked through Karakura just as the sun started to rise, it was actually good to have some peace for a change no one to tell him what to do, he could get used to Karakura being like this but nothing lasted forever, he'd have to face his demons sooner or later and he best get it over with. Ichigo made his way donw one street on his way to his house to see Isshin and his sisters before he took off to hideout in Turasho's old Penthouse. He did however spot something lying in the middle of the road a heap on the floor, it was probably nothing but that was until Ichigo walked closer and see it was a person lying there. ''Shit'' Ichigo thought as he drew back in surprise a little before he made a run towards the person and stopped just beside them only to see it was a girl, on her deathbed by the looks of it. Ichigo noticed the blood before he frowned. He went on his knees and looked at her battered body, just what had happened, thugs probably yeah that wasnt good because he was no better than them. But he could pick up a strange energy round this girl, he didnt know if it was hers or her attackers. Ichigo didnt waste anymore time and picked the girl up gently before he looked round, thinking if he should take her to his dad's clinic, no she seemed liek she'd need more medical attention than just cleaning her up a bit he didn know what internal injuries she may have, he ran in the direction of the Karakura hospital, it would be a better move for her.

It didnt take him long to reach the hospital, he rushed inside and to the reception area still carrying the girl, as if he needed anymore proof that she needed seeing to instantly.

Samia's body was like a deadweight in Ichigo's arms, she had no physical strength of sense of mind as to what was happening she hadnt even regained conciousness yet and still very much out of it. Her body was covered in bruising and scrapes where she had struggled against her attackers and lost.

Once inside the hospital, the receptionist drew a blank at the sight of Samia and her injuries she paniced a little before she stopped and became more calm. ''Umm right....you will need to take her to the A and E deparment...its down there and on your left....and young man!'' she said before Ichigo took off. ''Come back to the front desk once the doctors take her wont you?'' she said to him wishing to ask him some questions so they could get a bigger picture of the situation. However a doctor came walking passed and he stopped looking to Ichigo and then Samia ''What on earth happened'' he began ''Right then come on through quickly!'' he instructed and then handed over a clipboard to the recpetionist and then lead the way for Ichigo to follow. ''This way'' he said and then opened up a door into a room. ''Would you mind putting her odwn on that bed there'' he asked Ichigo as he began to wash his hands. He then put on some gloves so he could examine her, he walked to her and then looked over her body seeing the scrapes she had got before he held her wrist checking for her pulse seeing it was there. He then took a look in her eyes ''She's unconcious but its hard to say for how long...'' he began and then looked to Ichigo. ''Are you her partner? does she have any allergys?'' he asked him because he wuld admiters some pain releif and posdible drugs if requored on further inpections.

Ichigo just looked at the receptionist and frowned as she seemed to have gone into a panic, seriously? she must of dealt with all this kind of stuff before she worked in a hospital, why did this surprise her? maybe she was new. Ichigo sighed at her before she directed him to the department he needed to take her to. He turned, about to walk off but the receptionist had called him and told him he needed to come back to the front desk afterwards, he wondered why but just assumed she wanted to know stuff, like where he found her or if he knew anything, which he didnt he was as clueless in this as everyone else.

Ichigo just nodded and then see a doctor come pass, he had noticed and then taken charge of the situation and telling him to follow. He walked into the room and placed the girl on the bed as asked before he looked to the doctor. Ichigo watched as he checked the girl over quickly coming to the conclusion she was unconcious ''Hey, i could of told you that, she's more than likly been attacked'' he said and then turned going to the door. ''I'll leave this to you then'' he said seeing as they would know more than he did however he stopped looking over his shoulder hearing the questions he started asking.

Ichigo gave a sigh and then shut the door after he had opened it and looked to the doctor. ''No im not, i dont even know who she is...i just found her in the street'' he said. ''Look, i'll tell you all that i know which isnt much, and then im off...i have someplace to be'' he said.

The doctor looked at Ichigo in small surprise at his comebacks, he seemed to have an attitude and yet he was doing an act of kindness for the young girl, it didnt match up with his impoliteness. ''You're that Kurosaki kid...uhh...Isshin's son...umm...Ichigo, isnt it?'' he said. ''Before you ask i know your father only a little though...we went to med school together trainning to become doctors at the same time'' he said and smiled a little getting all sorts of flashabacks back when he was around Ichigo's age. He frowned however when Ichigo seemed to be in a rush ''Somewhere important may i ask? only i'd like someone to stay with this young lady for when she comes too...'' he asked and awaited his reply and then looked to the girl he noticed the bruising on her ribs and chest area. ''It could be some time you have to hang around...she'll be needing x-rays and scans to determine any internal damage...she must of had the life beaten out of her'' he said. ''Why dont you go grab a coffee or something while you wait...i would appreciate it and i think this girl would too'' he said as his eyebrows raised. '

[Kurosaki Ichigo]

Ichigo looked at him with his scowl deepening further feeling his time was being wasted but he was drawn back a little hearing he knew him, how? but he's question was answered because he knew Isshin and they seemed to of both qualified to become doctors at the same time. ''Uh...right'' was all Ichigo could say but he just looked strangely at the guy before he had gone to leave the room until he was stopped and then heard him out.

Ichigo gave a small sigh and folded his arms once he was asked if he needed to be anywhere important, yeah he did as a matter of fact, he had much to talk out with his dad for one, he had just really wanted to see his family after being away from home for a couple of days, he was still technically on the run but he couldnt help but show up here even if it was for a little while. ''Uh..actually i do...i have to straighten some things out with my dad...i shouldnt really be in town if im honest'' he said, he didnt see the harm in telling him that, Soul Society were still very much wanting arrest him not that he'd tell this guy that part, he'd leave that out.

''The little time i have i wanted to use it seeing my family'' he added before he heard what sounded like a guilt trip for him to stay with this girl he didnt know at all, laying in on a bit trying to make him feel guilty. ''Hey, she's not my responsiblity...i just brought her in here because isnt that the normal thing to do...i know people think im mean but not enough to leave her out there'' he said and looked off to the side at the girl laying there. She did seem in a pretty bad way, and if it were him in her shoes right now sure he'd want company but he'd never admit that, that sort of stuff stayed in his mind. Ichigo gave a sigh ''Alright, but only until she comes to then i have to go...'' he said, why did he feel guilty even when he had no real reason to be.

The doctor looked at Ichigo and smiled a little ''I can see Masaki in you...more so than your father you know'' he said remebering both of them. ''How are your family anyway...we must catch up! i bet your tired of hearing your parents arguing'' he said before he frowned a little, he had somewhere to be somerthing to take care of. ''Oh im sure whatever it is he wont mind...'' he said to him and then reached for phone on his desk and called for someone to take Samia for scans. He hung up before looking at Ichigo with questionable look, he wasnt allowed in his own town, it seemed strange. ''Do you mind if i ask why that is? dont worry...im used to confidentiality i deal with it all the time in here...you know patients that dont want things to get out to others'' he said.

He drew in a sharp breath at hearing how he wasnt responbile for the girl he had brought in ''No you're not...but for now it seems that girl has no one as far as im concerned she has no family until she gives us her name...until then your all she's got...besides you could well of saved her life by bringing her in...it was lucky you were walking through town so early in the morning...what were you doing out there at this time though'' he said with suspicion. The doctor couldnt help but let a a smile escape ''That's good to hear, i will show you where you can wait'' he said and then stood up and walked to door and opened it before he glanced over his shoulder to Ichigo. ''Dont hide the fact you care so much...you'll give people the wrong impression you know'' he smiled before he walked out of the room and allowed some nurses to enter to escort Samia to get checked out further.

He walked down a corridor hopefully with Ichigo following and he then walked out to the reception and walked round the desk and wrote down a record of Samia staying in the hospital and then walked back out and looked to Ichigo. ''This way'' he said and directed him to a waiting area. ''Stay here and i will get someone to call you down so she has someone to wake up to...'' he said.

Ichigo's jaw almost fell open a little at what he said first, how he was more like Masaki than his dad but that didnt surprise him it was the fact he had even brought her up at all. ''Shut it'' Ichigo warned him before he calmed himself. Who the hell did he think he was, talking as if he'd known him for years, he certainly didnt remeber this guy. Ichigo then looked a little confused as he suggested for them to catch up, by 'them' did he mean his mother aswell? Ichigo sighed ''You'll have a tough time trying to make that happen, she died 8 years ago'' he said not wanting him to continue on as if she was. Ichigo wuickly dismissed the subject and then frowned at him suggesting his dad would just be 'fine' with whatever he was going to sort out ''He really wouldnt be...i havent seen him because i ran away from home'' he said feeling he's have to say some details for him to understand why he had to leave.

Ichigo however seemed a little more guilty after he had said the girl probably had no one not even family considering she was nameless and non exsistant until she confirmed otherwise. ''Oh come on! she's gotta have some kind of relative its not possible to...'' he began but he sighed unless her family were no longer living? ''Anyway why cant you just stay with that girl? is your job right to comfort your patients...'' he said but he frowned at his words ''I take it back, i said i'd stay for a while right'' he said after a pause. Ichigo just nodded when was was told to follow him before he said something weird, to not hide that he cared. ''Didnt i tell you to shut up'' he said back before he just followed him out of the room and then to where he had directed him. ''Uh, right'' he said seeing where he'd have to wait, how long could this take, he should probably call his dad tell im he'd be late.
