PERSONALITY

Once upon a time many years ago Ana was a shy, withdrawn, innocent, giggly girl however over the years she has changed a fair bit and has become a stronger and more aggressive person though she is no bully and never has been… well unless measures desperately call for it but then it’s more blackmail in her mind than bullying.

Ana still is somewhat withdrawn from society but is no loner; one should not get the two confused. She is simply not someone who just walks up to someone and makes friends. It takes some times for her to open up to other people and become friends with them though making enemies seems to be easy enough no thanks to her back chatting nature and need to be right. Mind you she has always had this habit of needing to be right and proving herself all the time. Some would say she is a very determined, serious and a selfless person who has high expectations and she does.

You probably look at Ana and think she is a nerd, an athlete and shy person and the first two are right. Ana is extremely strong, physically and mentally, she has been scared deeply in her life and often blames herself for a lot of things even if it is not her fault, she will take the fall for her friends and family, she will side with her friends and act as the shoulder for them to lean and cry on, doing her best to be there for them when they need her and even when they don’t, it makes her rather protective and a bit nosey and pushy but she is a very loyal friend. Ana though because of her nature to aid often forgets to look after herself and is normally hiding her emotions from others not wanting to bother them about it, simply bottling it up inside her.

Ana is not an overly protective person though; she is very much a mother duck but believes strongly in letting people learn things for themselves and grow on their own, she will assist where required but allows people to make the choice themselves and while she might not agree with it she will keep her mouth shut one of the few times she doesn’t speak up. Ana has this habit of talking… a lot and sometimes what she say’s has no meaning though she is a lot more intelligent than she appears to be and if one listens carefully enough her words do indeed make sense on some level. She however does know when to shut her mouth and is very gifted at observing people and situations knowing there is a time to talk and there is a time for action and silence. Ana though can be seen as selfish and rude when she will not agree with people and turns her back on them because her belief in a matter is the opposite to someone else’s, this can often cause a rift in her friendships but she is a big enough person to put it aside… majority of the time.

Of course beyond all this Ana is a girl and emotional, she is no drama queen though and enjoys having fun just as much as the next person, her idea of fun though might be very different to someone else’s. She is a passionate soul and kind hearted giving people a chance though second chances don’t come easily. She can be very calm and collective and has learnt silence can be just as hurtful as words can be. She is someone who won’t attack someone unless she has a reason or she feels guilty afterwards and is always defending herself and others; of course she is also a bit hot headed.

INTERESTING FACTS

• While her full name is Anastasia she has always introduced herself as Ana and in all honesty has not heard her full name been spoken in many years.

• Ana can play the piano exceedingly well, she can also sing but does not sing all too often around other people. She can play the drums and guitar and has started to learn the Cello the one instrument she always wanted to learn as her mother use to play it.

• There are only 3 flowers Ana likes in the world. The Cherry Blossom, The Hibiscus and The Passion Flower.

• Ana can speak fluent French and English.

• She is the fifth generation to be born in 800 years to be expected to be a Shinigami... her lucky number happens to be 5... doesn't look so lucky now does it.

• Ana uses the Shoshi Katana passed down from generation to generation to the eldest sibling.

• She has been teaching Martial Arts for over a year now but as she has graduated school she has become more regular taking on more classes of all ages. She has countless black belts as she’s been doing martial arts since she was a child. It’s a requirement that all Shoshi children learn Ninjutsu which Ana has just received her 2nd degree black belt in. She has a 1st degree black belt in Jujutsu and Taijutsu, a 2nd degree black belt in Karate and 3rd degree black belts in Tai Chi, Tae Kwon Do and T’ai Chi Ch’uan which she loves using. Ana would dedicate her life to learning defence if she could.

• Ana has three unique spiritual abilities her main one and strongest is her Force Field Generation which activated when she was 10, the same day her parents died in a car crash. This ability often glows blue; the down side is when the field shatters Ana is often injured in the process. Her second ability is her Telekinetic power which is often something she rarely if ever uses simply because she always loses control over it, her uncle claims she had great control over it as a child but since her force field power activated Ana has little to no control over her telekinetic power, this is often used to assist in making portals ripping a gap in time. Her third power is portal generation something she discovered when her friends needed to go somewhere, with the desire to get to another place Ana can open up a portal the problem is it requires a lot of energy and leaves her weakened, this is another power Ana hardly ever uses.

THE STORY SO FAR

Born on July the 13th to a family that assumed she would be a boy, after all it was a tradition that the Shoshi’s first born was a male and had been for 800 years, well Ana kind of screwed that up now didn’t she much to her grandfather Satoshi’s disappointment. None the less Ana was loved by her family. Her father who had given up Soul Society and his Shinigami ways for his family and growing family as Ana did not remain an only child for long.

Even before her siblings were born Ana had been able to see ghosts much like her brother has always been able to also. Of course at the age of 2 her brother arrived into the world and Ana was conflicted. She was young she thought he was a doll and could often watch him rather interested and tried to play with him a few times but he always cried which often had her crying or crawling out of the room. Of course when she realised he was not a doll she became very nervous around him and would often watch him from a distant but at the same time would also rush over to help him when no one else was around. She of course started to become very jealous of her brother who was praised by their grandfather when she never was.

It was very clear the idea of the Shoshi line being carried on by a woman was not to his best interest and coming from a of old tradition it was understandable but Ana always tried to prove herself to her grandfather and her family. She was a simple girl, always laughing and smiling, running around and pretending to be a sailor or airplane and picking wildflowers or playing cars with her brother, chasing him when he stole her teddy bears and broke her dolls. Typical sibling rivalry really. Sure enough Ana was soon in school and training in martial arts, at first she hated it always afraid she’d hurt someone or someone would hurt her, every time she went up to fight someone she never put much effort in it not wanting to hurt them… unless it came to protecting her little brother, she pushed a few people over when they teased him.

Ana never picked up on liking martial arts until she was 7, before that she was more into dancing and girly stuff and no wonder with the arrival of her little sister she had someone she could dress up other than her brother who would often run away screaming which had Ana in stitches until he’d pull her hair and she’d start crying herself. Later in the year she saw her first Hollow at a family outing and ran away screaming her head off. It was that same day she came to understand her father was a Shinigami as had the generations before him been. He thought it would be rather amusing to have her in his arms while he fought the thing, she thought it was terrifying and had nightmares for a week, she did not speak to her father in over two weeks too afraid and annoyed to look at him, often keeping her eyes on the ground. Of course it came to pass.

Ana’s run in with a Hollow changed her a bit, when someone tried to frighten her or did she instead of cowering away like she use to would instead turn around and snap at them. By age 9 her youngest sister was born and during that year life seemed like it could not get any better in all honesty. But reality always comes crashing down in the end and after her 10th birthday it crashed down hard. Upon return from their family Valentine picnic the family car was attacked by a Hollow, the impact killed her mother instantly; Ana however had triggered her force field power and protected her and her brother. While she does not remember much of the accident she does recall seeing her father before she passed out. Ana woke up a few days later in hospital only to learn her parents were dead. Ana always blamed herself for their death as she had wanted to stay back in the park longer, she was unable to shield them and when her grandfather blamed her also and her brother who took that on too she could not see reason otherwise.

Things changed after that moment. With no parents they moved in with their father’s brother and his wife who raised them. Ana became a rather quiet young girl, she did her martial arts, did her studies and played with her siblings at times but she did not have many friends. For a few years Ana became more of an observer than a talker and slowly the innocence in her was pushed aside, she devoted her time to protecting her siblings so the same thing would not happen to them, she practiced her skills so she could protect her family. It was not until she was 13 did she gain more friends and open up more smiling again but of course she got into a school fight when she was 16 and got kicked out of the school which forced her to go to go Karakura High where she met Orihime, Uryu, Ichigo, Chad, Keigo, Turasho, Satoko and Tatsuki and later on Rukia too. She became friends with Orihime, Turasho and Satoko the easiest and as time went on Ichigo and the other’s became her friends too. When Satoko betrayed her friends though Ana became furious and to some degree went on a Hollow killing spree, sadly her brother took most of Ana’s rage when the two would spare and she’d teach him some new skills.

As time went by Ana and her friends fought many battles, most of them were either with Orihime or Ichigo. She started dating Turasho for a moment in time before he left them for his own people and while Ana and Ichigo tried to get him back he did not come. Then there was Miko who betrayed her and everyone else which did not end too well until Ulquiorra was destroyed. Ana by this point had become a lot more stubborn and ruthless not to mention had grown a bigger mouth on her often bickering with some of her friends but meaning no harm in it. And now, well something is going on, she has no idea what but something is which means more trouble for all of them, none the less she will fight and help her friends out.
