[Kurosaki Ichigo]

''Getting slow aren't you Ichigo!'' called the voice of a certain shop keeper. He was still the same even now after a few years when Ichigo first began the Shinigami life. This was the very place where it all began, where he had to learn the skills he now acquired and controlled with little effort. He had sure come a long way from being this loud mouth immature brat, well he was still partial to a scrap with Renji or Urahara himself but he could see his old self being miles away from his now almost 18 self.

Oh yeah, another birthday soon, he never really cared for them unless it was someone else's birthday then he'd be sure to go see them if he remembered that was he was getting better at that now, than he used to be. He found himself taking on a different approach towards his responsibilities. People relied on him to be stronger and not to give up if he failed at anything, and that wasn't just in his Substitute life also school. He hadn't told anyone but a University was his next hope weather he'd get to do that was unknown but he'd still try at least.

He was in need of a catch up with his friends he had been busy but never too busy to see them so he'd call them up just as soon as he beat that sandle wearing idiot Urahara who seemed to think he was to slow.

He appeared behind Urahara ''Then take me down if I am'' he smirked before Urahara turned to deliver a stab towards Ichigo who was no longer there.

[Shoshi Ana]

Ana had called up Ichigo's place and he had not been there which was good because she headed over to give Yuzu the secret recipe for Ichigo's surprise party. This way with no Ichigo around she didn't have to think of an excuse as to why she was at his house and everything could be kept hush still. So once that was all done and she'd gotten talking to Ichigo's sisters she left them be and headed for Urahara's shop. If Ichigo's dad had not invited the guy yet she would, I mean the guy had done so much for Ichigo it would be wrong not to invite him... right?

As Ana got closer to Urahara's stall though she thought she sensed Ichigo for a moment before it quickly vanished and a frown crossed her face, what was that idiot doing now zipping all around town or something. Oh maybe Urahara had sent him on a wild goose chase. She smiled a little at the thought. Of course she spotted Urahara who was stabbing the air which caused Ana to raise an eyebrow at the guy "I don't think you can kill the air Urahara" she added rubbing the back of her neck a little and smirked "But it's funny watching you try" she added though the guy could be up to anything really... maybe old age was finally catching up to him, the guy was how old exactly?

"Say you haven't seen Ichigo around have you? I thought I sensed him a moment ago before he vanished... or maybe my senses are playing up on me" she added trailing off on her own little assumption before looking back to the guy folding her arms behind her back, she needed to be sure Ichigo wasn't lurking because she didn't want to spill the beans on the surprise party and she was sure if she invited the old man he could keep his mouth shut because if he couldn't Ana would teleport his butt to Hueco Mundo, well nothing that extreme but she'd think of something more or less but she had confidence in the old man.

[Kurosaki Ichigo]

Ichigo's family life had become increased seeing as he spent more time there recently they had actually arranged normal things to do, well as normal as Isshin could be that was. They had become on edge when he walked through the front door to his confusement, were they not expecting him to return he wondered. He just put it down to his strange family but he wouldn't want them any different.

He had been out of training for some time he still regularly dealt with hollow but hadn't brushed up on some skils and Urahara seemed the best person for that. It seemed currently Ichigo had learnt all there was to know about his power source he knew enough to know he wasnt a typical human but there was still some unanswered questions he had nagging him in the back of his mind. He didnt know who else to ask other than Urahara he seemed to know alot about his hollow side he didnt think he dad would tell him much he had recently discovered his dad was a Shinigami how or why he had no idea but he told Isshiin he could come and tell him when he felt the time was right and that hadnt come around yet so he'd wait as much as it killed him to want to know.

Urahara grinned at Ichigo's sudden disappearence ''Now thats just cowardly come out from hiding'' he spoke as it echoed through the huge basement known as his training room. Before he knew it Ana's presence became known to him he heard her and turned to face her a slightly dumbfounded expression crossed his face. ''A-ana?'' he began ''Wow i havent seen you in a while'' he said lowering his weapon. ''I was just umm....well never mind how have you been?'' he asked changing the subject that he had been caught attacking the air.

''Why do i get the feeling people are hiding something'' Ichigo's voice was suddenly heard as he walked over.

[Shoshi Ana]

Ana smiled a little seeing Urahara, yes that was her name. She found his expression to be rather amusing, well there was her laugh for the day, trust Urahara to make her internally laugh. She nodded her head "It's been too long my friend" she added in response for it seemed like ages since she had seen him. At some point Ana would have to pick up this training with Urahara it'd be nice to be able to make portals without getting exhausted. She'd talk to him about it at some stage or another, right now she was on a mission.

He however changed the subject causing Ana to make a small face but she brushed it off. A slight shrug of her shoulders was all Ana really gave him for a response thinking on an answer. "Been better but you know me" she gave him a smile before jumping a little hearing Ichigo. What was it with him and jumping out of nowhere, seriously he'd give her a heart attack one day.

Glancing over to Ichigo she blinked "We're always hiding something from you" she added, which was true when you thought about, Ana was currently hiding several facts from Ichigo, his birthday party was just one of them. She then looked to Urahara "Oh that's what you were doing, training..." she added and glanced to Ichigo "You must be getting faster if he can't catch you". That was a good sign though.

[Kurosaki Ichigo]

Urahara smiled towards Ana he instantly remembered when he had the opportunity to train Ana. It was quite some time ago and when he was first introduced to her. He had been unsure as to what he could teach her he was once someone who researched everything and anything before he was banished and now lived in the human world. Gifted humans were becoming more unique with what their power was and never did he think a human like Ana could develop portals like a vice captain was capable of. It baffled him but it intrigued him he'd be sure to push her to her limits to see what more she could achieve.

''Hmmm....been better? now that doesn't sound like the Ana i know'' he spoke to her as he lifted his head a little allowing a shadow to cast over his eyes under his strange hat. Urahara suddenly threw his Zanpakuto letting it cut through the air before it hit the ground breaking it up centimetres from Ichigo's foot. Ichigo looked surprised before he scowled ''You did that on purpose'' he snapped before Urahara chuckled pleased with himself. ''If we are hiding anything its for your own good'' he informed Ichigo after he struggled to stop his grinning.

Speed was something Ichigo was given with the type of Zanpakuto he had but he knew how strong Urahara was in fact he made the grave mistake of misjudging him as a clown only to lose badly. Ichigo glanced to Ana ''Yeah, thought i was fast until i go up against him'' he said directing to Urahara. ''Nonsense, you've improved, dont forget ive had thousands of years of practice at this stuff'' he smiled.

''Ana, was there something you wanted to ask of me? your not busy are you?....how about i show you guys something interesting?'' Urahara questioned Ana and Ichigo.

[Shoshi Ana]

Ana gave Urahara a small smile, she had been better she was just swamped or she felt like she was swamped. Currently trying to sort out the next stage in her life and it was stressing her out, she hated it but it had to be done... if only she knew where to start though. Upon watching him throw his sword she noticed it land before Ichigo and blinked a few times, she was glad she wasn't going up against Urahara. A small laugh escaped her lips hearing Ichigo's comment, he was as hot headed as ever it still seemed.

Of course Ichigo seemed to have improved, so Ana assumed but when Urahara said thousands of years an eyebrow rose "I thought you were only a few hundred of years old" Ana said frowning a little. Was the guy really thousands of years old, he was like a mummy then, you might as well bandage him up and put him to rest... oh that was an idea of Halloween, she was sure Urahara could play a mummy, it would be hilarious to watch.

Though her silly thoughts were interrupted when Urahara asked her something and she looked over to him. "Oh right, yes I do need to ask you something and no and sure" she added nodding her head. She wasn't busy and seeing something interesting could be fun. It felt like forever since Ana had just had some fun, seeing something interesting, lately it was all work and no play, always looking out for people, always protecting people and hunting Hollows and now that she had a breather she had had time to reflect on everything and she found it a little depressing to be honest.

"Is it a new invention?" Ana asked smiling a little "Or a scientific break through?" she enquired, she liked science you could mix stuff up and blow shit up and play with all the stuff you weren't supposed to, it was awesome!

[Kurosaki Ichigo]

Urahara looked intrigued by Ana's small smile he had yet to understand the complications of school life but he was brushing up on that. ''Hmmm...no serious problem though i hope'' he nodded before he laughed a little seeing Ana's reaction to his sudden weapon toss ''Thought that'd catch him off guard'' he said before approaching his sword pulling it free from the ground and it instantly had become back into the small cane he usually carried around, who would suspect it being such a deadly force underneath.

''Lets just say i was around when Captain Commander Yamamoto was a younger man'' he smiled. Ichigo sighed ''So your like ancient or something'' he spoke up. ''Like a figurehead of wisdom...so you see you have barely scratched the surface Ichigo'' he smirked. But even he noted at the pace he was learning ''You did however learn Bankai in 3 days, the same as me'' he said.

Urahara wasnt sure what Ana had come to as him but he thought she had tried to ask before he changed the subject, he'd have to ask her later. He smiled excitedly when Ana wished to see his latest discovery. ''You invented something you mean?'' Ichigo asked he was never really a curious person but he knew Urahara was a man who created the infamous Gigai or the empty shell like body most Shinigami now used to walked around the human world. ''Good...follow me then'' Urahara said turning walking back up towards the store.

He looked around before he approached a door to the far left of the shop and looked behind him at Ana and Ichigo. ''Its something ive worked on for a while...but i did create a pill'' he began. ''Its designed to mask your reaitsu from a hollow's view...' he said. But he was also working in something to hopefully separate a hollow from a shinigami's power which could put an end to Vizards but it was work in progress.

Ana shook her head to Urahara's comment. What was serious in her mind probably wasn't in his mind. She simply needed to sort some stuff out, she just needed to talk to someone about it and the only two people she could think of where Urahara and Isshin but she had no idea where to start. None the less though she had never seen Urahara's sword become his cane, nifty little trick it was.

Of course she did not think he was really that old but he admitted he was. The cheater, here she thought he was hundreds of years younger than he actually was, instead he had countless lifetimes on them, no wonder he was so bloody good at fighting. She let out a small sigh before shaking her head a little. Did that mean he was older than Yamamoto, she did not think anyone was older than that old man! "Wait you learnt Bankai in three days?" Ana said wide eyed at Ichigo, he didn't tell her that, or had he and she'd simply forgotten? No she was pretty sure he did not tell her. "And you did too!" She added to Urahara shocked, they'd both learnt Bankai in three days, wasn't that like supposed to be really hard to learn or something and they'd done it in such a short time. Wait did that mean Ichigo would be like Urahara when he got older... she hoped not.

As directed Ana followed Urahara back up to his shop. How long had he been training with Ichigo? She felt kind of bad interrupting their training session, she knew Ichigo could do with some training, everyone could but how often did Ichigo get to train with Urahara. Wait wasn't Ichigo supposed to be focussing on school this year not worrying about fighting Hollows? She frowned a little.

Ana was impressed to say the least as her eyes widened a little upon hearing what Urahara had created it was pretty cool. "That'll be great for you Ichigo" Ana said turning her head to face Ichigo. How easy was it to find Ichigo though if you simply followed his reaitsu. He could certainly use something like this to mask himself from his enemy. "Have you tested it on anyone yet Urahara?" she asked a little curious. He must have though, right?

"Oh go on Ichigo, try it out! I always wanted to see you as a lab rat" she added with a laugh, not really, she had no desire to see Ichigo as a lab rat at all but hey watching him try out this pill might do him some good, if it did mask his reaitsu then that was a major breakthrough on it's on. Ichigo had huge spiritual pressure, she didn't think it'd be easy to ask it. "That was a joke by the way. In case you didn't get it" she added not wanting to anger Ichigo or anything like that, she was certain the scientists in Soul Society wanted to test out Ichigo's limits and find out why he was the way he was when it went against their natural order of things.

Urahara had well and truly experiance life as a Shinigami, a captain in fact and he was familiar with Ichigo's father at the time they were all captains until things went horribly wrong for Urahara and he was banished. The human world wasn't so bad, in fact Yamamoto knew of his whereabouts but he no one from Soul Society had confronted him just yet but they were aware.

''Yeah, 3 long days....well i didn't have a choice did i hat and clogs!'' Ichigo suddenly outburst. Urahara couldn't hide a grin. ''Yeah, that's correct, in fact you'd be surprised what you could achieve in 3 days with the threat of death'' he glanced towards Ana. ''Normally a Shinigami learns Bankai in years but I've come up a 3 day intense Bankai training, well going up against Byakuya without a Bankai is a death sentence anyway'' Urahara said. ''Hey how about some Kidou training Ichigo'' he suggested to which Ichigo scowled back at. ''Oh very funny! i cant do Kidou!'' Ichigo replied folding his arms before he had followed him to see this new found discovery.

Urahara smiled, pleased with his invention, he was known for what he could create there was plenty of things he created when he was in the research squad. ''Yeah, it'd be great for keeping you hidden, i tested it on myself...and went out to tackle some hollows, not a clue i was there'' he said. Ichigo looked unconvinced at least Urahara had tested it on himself first. ''Well, ok then...but you say it worked on you right?'' he asked Urahara to confirm. He nodded ''Of course'' Urahara said handing Ichigo the tiny pure black pill. Ichigo looked at it sitting in the palm of his hand his expression still not sure. Ana's comment hadn't exsactly put him at ease he looked shocked at her before he frowned ''Oh gee thanks Ana'' he began. He knew all too well that if he allowed it Mayuri the current research and development captain would test him to a high level which was why he avoided that guy. But this was Urahara, he could trust him even if he did play practical jokes, alot!

Knocking the small pill back Ichigo looked like he was prepared form something strange. ''There was one tiny lie'' Uahara suddenly said. ''I didn't officially try, it sort of speak....'' he confessed only for Ichigo almost choke with shock.

[Shoshi Ana]

She huffed a little and folded her arms. She knew it was hard to get Bankai but 3 days... that was just crazy. "Going up against Byakuya is a death sentence anyway" Ana mumbled under her breath. Though she heard the two guys talking about Kidou, oh that sounded fun she wanted to see that training. "Oh come on Ichigo... have you even tried it yet?" she asked Ichigo raising an eyebrow at him.

Was it so wise to test something on yourself, what if something went wrong? Who would have helped him then? She watched Urahara hand Ichigo over the pill before making her little comment. She was just kidding as she blinked to Ichigo "I'm not being serious" she said defensively.

Of course Ichigo took the pill and the Urahara spoke up. Her eyes widened "Wait... what!" she snapped "What do you mean you didn't officially try it out?" she questioned and looked to Ichigo to see if anything was going wrong with him.
