Orihime had just finished some shopping with her friend Tatsuki, she had been out round the town most of her Saturday afternoon, in fact it was now pretty late on her walk back home.
She walked along the streets carrying some bags containing all the things she had brought, maybe she overspent!
She looked up noticing a streetlight, smashed, she frowned then looked back down along the street seeing not many of them working, only some were just about lighting up the street. She seemed cautious from now on until she would reach her front door.
Though some taunts suddenly entered her hearing, nasty comment. She looked over her shoulder seeing some of the regular students from Karakura High that teased her, probably because of her hair. She looked a little on edge by their comments, but Tatsuki had given her confidence to not think of herself badly, or think that what they said was true, she knew plenty of people who got slack for being a different person. Orihime ignored the, and carried on with her walk to her house, though something was different about these 'bullies' they seemed to be following her, and a few more joined the group, older, much older men suddenly appeared. Orihime kept calm and quickened her walking pace a little, though she suddenly gasped dropping her bags after two of the men came out in front of her blocking the path she wanted to. She looked from one to the oher and moved a step back. ''What do you want...if its money...then i dont have any...ive spent all my money...s-sorry'' she said stuttering.
But men werent backing down, one from behind her grabbed her by the shoulder frighteining the hell out of her. These men werent after money, in fact they didnt look like ordinary men, they were something to do with spiritual things and beings she could feel a spirit energy around them.

Ichigo had been out and about taking down some hollow, it being the usual thing now round here for him.
He jumped from rooftop to rooftop spotting hollow after his Shinigami badge had alerted him of hollow in the area. He took them out with ease, until there were no more for now, but they would be back of course, they always did.
Ichigo looked about satisfied that the hollow were all gone and then jumped down from the roof and pulled his body out from behind some trees. Ichigo sighed a little looking to his body. ''I need new places to hide this thing...'' he said but then paused looking up, feeling the spirit pressure, one being Orhime's but he could only just pick it out to be Orihime, but the others he had no idea about. Ichigo quickly scrambled back into his body, and stood up then started to run for it, until he reached the street where Orihime was, he stopped seeing her in the restrain of some strange looking guy, he frowned before running towards them. ''Get off her!!get the hell off her!!'' he yelled at him as he quickly moved his arm up grabbing the guy by the shoulder and making his other hand into a fist and drawing it back behind his head, he turned the guy round and sent his fist straight into the guy's face repeatedly.

Orihime fell forwards but kept standing upright, she covered her head with her hands and shut her eyes though she had just realised who it was. She quickly looked over her shoulder seeing Ichigo, she watched him punch the guy over and over.
The guy was knocked back with the first hit and then received another punch.
The man fell to the ground his face bleeding, he lay on the floor holding his face but slowly looked over to Ichigo. ''Your not gonna get away with that!!'' he yelled as the others moved in towards Ichigo.
Orihime looked to her side seeing them approaching, Ichigo was outnumbered here, she quickly looked to back to Ichigo feeling releived but quickly looked to the man on the floor seeing he had jumped back up and wiped his face and then spat out some blood on the pavement and glared to Ichigo. Orihime felt like she should warn Ichigo, about them not being any ordinary humans, but maybe he had already figured that out.

Ichigo glared to the guy now lying on the floor ''Didnt you get taught manners dumbass! what the heck you think your doing!!'' he yelled angrily ay the guy.
Ichigo suddenly looked up to the side of him seeing more of them closing in on him, he frowned more then looked to the other side seeing more, he was outnumbered, but he didnt care if they had been trouble for Orihime then they werent going to get off lightly.
He looked back to the guy in front of him that he had punched seeing he was back on his feet sayign he wasnt going to get away with it. Ichigo grit his teeth ''Idiot!! thats my line!! you aint getting away with what you did!! you stay the heck away from Inoue!! what has she ever done to any of you!!'' he snapped shooting his arm forwards grabbing the guy by his collar tightly.

Orihime looked to Ichigo and then down to the ground, she hated being targeted by enemies, it was like they knew she wouldnt fight back, like they knew she hated hurting anyone so she wouldnt retort back. She so wanted to be stronger and become a burden to anyone, she would make a promise, to help out more she was always on hand for healing but fighting wasnt what she liked doing.
She listened to what Ichigo had said, it was right what had she ever done to them she was always polite to other people, she didnt think bad of anyone, and when she did it would have to have a very good reason behind it.
She looked back up to Ichigo now seeing him gripping the guy by his collar. The guy looked a little worried by this, but he suddenly frowned his brows almost meeting. ''She didnt do anything! we've been told to target Orihime-San'' he said.

Ichigo looked to the guy scowling, but what he had said next surprised him.
''What!! no one is gonna target Inoue because i wont allow it!!'' he snapped before punching the giy in the face again just because of what he had said, and because he hated this guy. He let hsi grip go of the guy after he punched him and looked to the others surrounding him. ''Who the heck is targeting Inoue?...where are they? im putting a stop to it, right now!'' he snapped at them. He wasnt going to allow anyone to hurt Orihime, he was especially protective of her, he didnt know why he knew he was protective of all his friends, but Orihime in paticular he was more strongly about protecting, he thought maybe it was because he had known her when she needed cheering up, when she was going through a trumatic time with losing her brother, he knew she had no family left.

The gut stumbed back after getting hit again, ''I dont know why! we've been told by Aizen-Sama to target Orihime-San'' he said.
Orihime looked startled by it all. ''T-target me?...i havent done anything...i dont want to be targeted...'' she said then looked down a frown appearing.
She looked back up to Ichigo hearing him say how he wouldnt allow it to happen, it made her smile a little. She was glad Ichigo was protective of her, she felt he was always there for her, like no matter what she asked him to help her with he'd be be there, which is why she never worried much about hollow nowadays, because she knew she was safe. She was in her mind thanking Ichigo, for all those times he had saved her, and risked his life. She knew that when Ichigo was younger he wanted to protect one thing, that one thing being his mother, and now that she had passed he was saving her. It made her smile softly.
The man wiped his face again of blood before he took in a breath. ''Aizen-Sama has commanded us to kill Inoue Orihime for the fact that she is a vital healer, if your healer is dead then Aizen's minions can move in and attack without you all being revived'' he said.
That made Orihime grip her arms tightly, ''No...'' she whispered. One of the guy's moved towards Orihime and put his hand on her shoulder. ''Sorry bout this'' he said. Orihime frowned to the man.

Ichigo scowled more looking to the guy, he glanced round to the others still surrounding him and then over to Orihime seeing her expression. ''Dont worry Inoue, im not letting anything happen to you'' he said looking back to the guy as he spoke.
It was a kind of instant reflex or a seconds nature to him to just think of his freinds before him, he knew that Aizen had his eye on Orihime and her unique ability, he knew that Aizen would do anything to make sure Soul Society had a disadvantage. Ichigo watched the guy as he has said that it was Aizen who ordered them to kill her. Ichigo's fists tightened. ''Stop talking like Inoue's a weapon or something!! shes a person no one has control over her or her power, your all talking shit!!'' he snapped but he suddenly looked over to Orihime seeing one guy had moved towards Orihime apoligising for what seemed like for going to kill her. Ichigo was shocked for a moment but he reacted quickly and ran towards them grabbing the guy's arm dragging him as far away from Orihime as he could and grabbed him by his collar with both his hand and forcefully shoved the guy's back into a tree pinning him there. ''If you wanna kill Inoue, you gotta kill me first!!'' he snapped before dropping the guy to the floor and then looking over by Orihime again seeing if any would try their luck and attack her. No one was going within a few centermetres of her as far as he was concerned.

Orihime watched Ichigo with a soft smile on her face, what he was saying made sense, he always back up her in anything. She smiled e en more after hearing him say that they shouldnt speak of her as if she was some wepon. ''Thank you...Kurosaki-Kun'' she said to him in a smooth voice as she clutched onto her hands just in front of her chest. She knew she wasnt going to get hurt here.
She gasped though once Ichigo had drgged the guy that was behind her and pinned him up against the tree.
Orihime looked to him and then back around her seeing some moving closer to her.
''Look kid we got orders we cant just back down because of you'' one said and raced at Orihime and tackled her to the ground....

((Happy birthday Orihime!! (for yesturday)! sorry i didnt realise until now  ) Ichigo shifted his eyes onto Orihime after hearing her thank him, he softened his look for a moment to her but his usual angered expression quickly returned once he see them still having the guts to even more towards Orihime. Ichigo narrowed his eyes he wasnt going to do much with just his fists, it was alright for jsut a couple of them, but they were spiritually capable humans, or so he guessed and they knew about Aizen, so they were definatly not just going to go donw if he gave them a punch or two, he needed more force than that if he was going to protect Orihime. Ichigo swiftly usedh is shinigami badge to seperate from his body, so he now stood with his usual shinigami robes, and clutching hold of the hilt of Zangetsu that was straped over his shoulder. Though once Ichigo had gone into his shinigami form he had only just noticed that one had tacked Orihime to the floor! He was stunned by it ''INOUE!!'' Ichigo yelled before flash stepping fastly and appearing behind the guy. Ichigo grabbed the guy with his free hand yanking him back with force and carried on pulling him so he was now beside him. Ichigo then slammed his elbow into the guy's torso and then turned quick to face him before pullingh is zanpakuto over his shoulder the bangades unraveling from it. Ichigo swiped his zanpakuto upwards cutting him up his chest before swinging it into the guys side immeidalty after his first attack. He wasnt letting Orihime get any kind of scratch on her, he had made her a promise a while ago, that he would never fail again to protect her, and he hadnt broken that promise so far, and he wasnt about to here either. |
