Orihime slowly opened her eyes to see Ichigo, she softend her gaze at him, but Grimmjow was still trying to fight Ichigo, he had to be in two places at once now. She was sorry, so sorry for being such a burden on him, making him worrying like this. But she needed him, here with her, was that selfish of her?, it was.
''Im sorry Kurosaki-Kun...'' she uttered a shameful look on her face. If only she was some good to Ichigo, was useful somehow, then he would have to worry about her, but it made her smile again when she thought of how Ichigo was going all out to protect her. Sure enough Ichigo lived up to his other and better name meaning, 'One guardian' he who protects one thing. He never failed to protect her in her eyes, he was never a failure when his mother died either, in fact she admired him for how he got through such at thing at such a young age, he was just a little boy, and now watching him, still on a child now even he was saving lives, it was just a shame that someone who meant the absolute world to him, was gone. She thought about him alot during battles, the way he acted, and the way he spoke to her made her brain think overtime, but rethinking these things and watching him now, reminded her of why she fell head over heels in love with him in the first place.
She had so many good people around her her best friend Tatsuki, Rukia, Ishida, Ana and Turasho. They were all people she could rely on.
''Kurosaki-Kun....i...'' she began but struggled to say anything, she wasnt even sure what she was going to say, she just wanted to hear his voice, just once more, to calm her nerves. Her worry for Ichigo was on the increase, she didnt want him to have his mind on her and Grimmjow, but he was doing a remarkable job in fending off Grimmjow and having to save her. How would she ever repay him, he had been doing this, all of this protecting when she met him in high school, how would just healing his wounds measure up to just how thankful she was.
Another one! coming to atack her again, her eyes looked to Ichigo wanting to call him.

Grimmjow was shocked to see Ichigo cooly and calmly taking on both him and the mobs at the same time.
''Fool!! you think you got time to deal with them when a 6th ranked espada's around!'' he yelled at him.
''Protectin your woman aint a good idea...coz if you die doing that then im left to kill her, you'd hate it if i killed her right?'' he laughed evily.
He was flung back though once Ichigo had sent him back, but had regained balanced quick and was angered to see Orihime the prey of another one of those guys, so without a doubt Ichigo would probably be there to stop it, but not this time. ''You aint movin!'' he said and with that said he ran at Ichigo tossing his zanpakuto round and over driving the end straight into Ichigo's foot, got him!
He was pinned to the spot, he couldnt go anywhere now! ''Hahahaha!! what you gonna do now?...watch as she dies Kurosaki! you've only got yourself to blame for her death'' he laughed again.

Ichigo could hear Orihime, she was apologizing but he wondered what for he had never throught the whole time he has known her thought of her as a burden. He thought Orihime's unquie ablities were too good to be true, she could heal anything, if it wasnt for her all the wounds and stabbing he had gotten throught his days as a shinigami, he'd be dead by now. He glanced over his shoulder to her seeing her shameful expression ''Inoue....you have nothing to be sorry about....ill finish this as quick as i can....but your gonna have to help me Inoue....can you defend yourself until ive got Grimmjow under control?'' he said to her.
But he had to look back in front of him seeing Grimmjow had regained himself, but he could hear Orihime, she had trailed off in her words, he wondered what she was going to say. ''Dont worry Inoue....im not going anywhere'' he said before seeing Grimmjow rush towards him, but he had done something different, it all happened so quickly, Ichigo just felt something in his foot, he looked down to his shock his foot had been pinned to the floor by Grimmjow's blade. He grit his teeth, why did he do that?
But his immediate thought was that Inoue was in trouble, and when he glanced over his shoulder again to see Orihime his fears were true. He sharply looked back to Grimmjow ''You bastard!!!'' he yelled at him. Ichigo's foot wasnt going anywhere, he would have to make a decision and stick to it, the idea of just purposly ripping his foot back and out of the blade was becoming an only option to him. It would hurt of course but from his pain, Orihime would be safe, he would rather be the one hurt than her. He looked to the guy going to attack Orihime, he couldntv watch this, how could he watch that happen to her, it would surly scar him for life, the memory of seeing his mother dying was still in his mind.
He had to move, he looked to his foot ''Dammit...'' he thought he would have to force Grimmjow to move away from his zanpakuto, at least he could remove the blade, but would it be quick enough for him to reach Orihime in time, he remeberedhe had told her to sheild herself when she could, he knew that depending on mood or emotions the shield would break or spike easily, he didnt know if she was willed enough to keep her shield strong enough to stop the attack. Ichigo just yanked his pinned foot backwards tearing his foot badly. He didnt flinch or curse he just flickered in front of Orihime deflecting the guy's blade. He had to escape Grimmjow's crafty trick, even if he knew Orihime might of jsut been able to hold her shield up there, he wanted to make absoutly certain that the worse didnt happen, and he knew that his wounds were nothing, because Orihime had the gift of healing, so he'd give an arm or a leg to save her, he said he'd protect her no matter what happened to him, and he meant that.

(  owch! lol Grimmjow's up to his usual tricks) Orihime put her hands up on front of her face moving some steps back ''Tusubaki! are you with me!'' she said in a panic. ''Please save me'' she thought her hands still up in front of her. The sudden words from Grimmjow panicked Orihime even more, and to her shock Ichigo was stabbing right through the foot! he was pinned there, unable to move. ''Kurosaki-Kun!!'' she called to him. It then hit her, he had fallen into a trap of Grimmjow's games. Orihime them knew that she was on her own here, her will to fight was way down, thoughher will to protect, mainly Ichigo was rising high, but it wasnt him who needed protecting, it was her. ''T-t...tsubaki-Kun!'' she commanded the words to annonce her attacking flower to come forth, but Tsubaki appeared in front of her and then zoomed at the mob only to shatter in his face, creating nothing more than a little gush of wind. Orihime gasped, she suddenly looked to her side seeing Ichigo's determination to break free and save her. ''Kuroskai-Kun, dont worry about me you just...'' she began but a horrible noise struck her, Ichigo just oulled himself free, his foot, he'd seriously injured himself because of her. She jast stared to him in disbeleif, and before she knew it the guy's attack was parried as if Ichigo hadnt even cared about his iunjury. She looked to him with tears welling in her eyes. ''Your hurt, Ichigo....'' she whispered looking to his torn foot. Suddenly her face brightened, she could heal him! she was glad about that, she would take care of him from here. |

Grimmjow laughed loudly, this was entertaining to him anyway. ''Kurosaki! you'd actually damage yourself for your friends! dont make me laugh!'' he cackled. Somehow he hated Ichigo just that little bit more, his determination really annoyed Grimmjow, he just took everything thrown at him, damn him for taking all of this so easily, as if his injuries were nothing.
Grimmjow had stopped his laughter at this point, ''DONT ACT LIKE YOUR FINE!!!'' he yelled at Ichigo seeing he had stopped Orihime's attacker. ''That chick isnt worth protectin! shes weak as shit! why are you actin like your alright!! all that damage to your body...surely you must feel it by now....bet your foot is hurting like hell....your all torn up...beaten up and still you take me lightly, take on more and more hits like nothing will bring you to your knees....your not taking me seriously, im trying to kill you here...and all your worried about is if she gets a scratch or two...'' he said. He then looked to Orihime, darn! he forgot all about her healing traits. ''Move any closer to him and ill slice you into pieces! right before his eyes! you want that! you dont heal him and you dont come near him either....Kurosaki is going to die if he keeps taking hits like that for you....your gonna drive him to his grave...so why dont you stay back and keep out of trouble'' he said, Grimmjow was such a mean specimen.

Ichigo panted a little, Grimmjow was completely right, he couldnt take any more beatings, he felt like he could easily collapse but he wasnt falling, not a chance.
Ichigo suddenly heard Orihime, saying he was hurt, he glanced over his shoulder to her, Tsubaki her attacking power had been destroyed again, so he knew Orihime had tried to prevent him from rushing out to help her, he could see the guilt from her. Ichigo looked down to the floor, frowning to himself. ''Its ok Inoue....dont worry about it...'' he said to her looking back up to her. ''Im not going to lose to him'' he said before sharply looking back to Grimmjow hearing him speak up.
Ichigo scowled more, Grimmjow didnt seem to like that he wasnt acknolwedging he was injured but it was really something Ichigo was good at, pretending that he was ok so others wouldnt worry about him. He didnt want to worry anyone, yet he worried constantly about his friends and family, it was like he only wanted to be the concerned one, he couldnt let Orihime down, he felt like he was so far all he had managed to do was just keep taking hits from Grimmjow, he hadnt made any hits on him.
As soon as he heard Grimmjow tell someone to keep away from him, or to not heal him he knew Orihime had taken the chance to move towards him and try to heal him. Ichigo quickly looked over at Orihime ''Stay there Inoue!'' he said, seeing her die wasnt something he'd want to witness. He would of asked her to help him to take Grimmjow down, but he wasnt sure she'd enjoy attacking someone, even an enemy he knew she disliked fighting, but Grimmjow had done it when he had mentioned Orihime as someone who was weak and she was going to drive him to death. ''SHUT UP!!! she's saving me more than anything!!!'' he yelled before flickering away sendingh is zanpakuto to Grimmjow's left and then drawing it back again before swiping downwards sending a huge blue wave of spirit energy flying at Grimmjow. He glanced over to Orihime then back to Grimmjow, how could he speak of Orihime that way, had he no respect for someone like her, she deserved to be treated better than this, Ichigo had never seeing Orihime as being weak, she was a vital part in the reason why all of them were still alive, she saved his life many times, even if he did the same regulaly.

Orihime froze hearing Grimmjow had told her to stay where she was she froze quick after trying to move towards Ichigo but he stopped her, ''But...'' she began but she was silenced after Grimmjow's threat. She looked to Ichigo worridly, he was hurt badly, she looked down to the ground her eye filled with fear. If she didnt fix Ichigo's wounds soon then Grimmjow would get what he wanted, someone to die.
Orihime looked back up to Ichigo hearing him reassuring her, she forced a smile, but she knew he was just saying it to help her nerves. Orihime watched carefullybas Ichigo rushed out in rage at Grimmjow, she'd be ready at anytime Ichigo was in trouble then she'd protect him for definate.

Grimmjow widened his eyes suddenly hearing Ichigo appear beside him and attacking ihm, he quickly moved his zanpakuto to catch Ichigo's. Grimmjow grinned ''Thats more like it Kurosaki!!'' he laughed before silencing only just seeing the wave of energy right there in front, he shifted his bodyweight to the side getting caught on the shoulder by the energy cutting deep into his arm sending blood spilling out. Grimmjow held his arm panting ''Damn you!'' he hissed. He grinned some more seeing Orihime had backed off, he wanted to make her feel as uselss as possible so that she wouldnt help Ichigo, so that she would just think she was going to get in his way, when in fact she wasnt she and him could make a team and stand agasint him, which was definalty something he didnt want, Ichigo's power and Orihime's healings would make them difficult opponanats. ''That woman is not saving you! shes so petrified of dying that she'd rather let you face me and take the beatings...because you can withstand heavy injuries and cope. As Grimmjow spoke he made a sly and blinded attack on Ichigo!

Ichigo watched as Grimmjow was hit by the wave of energy he had sent towards him, he smirked a bit. ''Shut your trap Grimmjow!! i dont wanna hear about you or how i should wanna kill you...and definalty not about Inoue being a burden!'' he snapped before slamming his zanpakuto in towards Grimmjow's side.
He made a quick check on Orihime seeing her still there and safe so far, he hated Grimmjow for all the thing he said, about Orihime holding him back, she had a right to be petrified, but he wanted her to relax more, put her faith in him reassure her that he was going to get out of this alive and keep her from harm, no matter hoe difficult it was he'd make sure she didnt get a single injury. He had let her down before, she had gotten seriously hurt by espada before all because of his hollow. But he wondered, what did Grimmjow want with Orihime?

Orihime watched anxiously not being able to keep herself back from the fight.
She seeing Ichigo had hit Grimmjow, she smiled a little, it made her think about just how much stronger Ichigo had gotten from when she last saw him fight. How could he even inflict wounds on someone like that, she knew because he hated Grimmjow and had the will to attack, but to her it seemed like something so strange to her. If ever she was a shinigami and had one of her own zanpakuto's she'd probably have an open chance to cut into her enemies but she wouldnt do it for real, she could see herself just stopping her attacks halfway, panicking and just cry in despair. She couldnt belive how well Ichigo was handling is hollow lately, he had goten it under control even though it scared her to see him like that she knew it gave him a huge power boost. She was sorry, so sorry that sometimes she didnt have her full faith in him, if he was just an ordinary friend to her then she wouldnt be so scared for him. Because of her love for him she found it extra difficult to just watch, see ever cut made on Ichigo's body. She was glad she had the healing of her shun shun rikka hairpins, but even then sometimes Ichigo's wounds were that bad that she couldnt reject them.
Orihime suddenly noticed the attack Grimmjow was doing, and in a blind spot of Ichigo's, she gasped and without any hestiation what so ever she screamed ''Soten Kusshen!!''
An orangy haze spread over Ichigo and shattered at the hit of Grimmjow's attack, her shields were even weak, but that wasnt bothering her, Grimmjow was a highly ranked espada and Ichigo hadnt been harmed by it, so she was glad.
